i bought this so i didnt have to charge my ipod on my computer every few days. also i use it with my cell phone usb charger and my bluetooth headphones.br /br /br /the ipod charges when plugged in, different from laptop connection where the laptop automatically takes control. perfectly like how i wanted.br /br /for the price it is great. strange thing to note is that it charges when the car is off. also it extends out of the socket a little too much(my cigarette lighter is above my drink holder so thats a problem)br /br /if you treat it well and just leave it plugged in forever your 2-3 dollars will be well spent and last long. you dont drive far with an ipod without this.
